Melissa Shin, RA, AIA is the Principal Architect and Founder of
Shin Shin. She brings ambitious design concepts to life through a hands-on, technical approach to architectural design and construction, honed through years of experience leading projects worldwide.
She received her Master of Architecture from Yale University and two Bachelors of Science degrees in Theoretical Mathematics and Visual Arts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Before founding Shin Shin, Melissa worked in the international design offices of Herzog de Meuron, Greg Lynn FORM, and Gehry Partners.
Melissa lectures and teaches in universities nationwide, including the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), Kent State University, the University of Southern California, and Yale University.
